FISHING
EXPEDITION

Cast your lines in search of the prized Chinook Salmon in some of our stunning fishing spots. The loaded Río Caterina awaits with big surprises.

  • We are exceptionally fortunate to be embedded amidst the most picturesque scenery in the Andean Patagonia and Parque Nacional Los Glaciares.
  • Fishermen who visit us have access to the sacred headwaters of the mighty Río Caterina, where king salmon is widely considered the fisherman’s ultimate dream.
  • From the end of December through mid-April, massive amounts of King salmon run upriver, and from January to mid-March is when the sheer number and size of fish are spectacular.

  • Each rider will mount a horse that matches its height, weight and experience.
  • After an initial talk, specialized Gauchos will guide our gallop.
  • The wild paths go over the endless valley and vary in time and difficulty.
  • We provide safety elements to grant an amusing anecdote.

LOST LAND

SUSTAINABLEINITIATIVES

Electricity supply Policy.
We take care of nature by using low-consumption electricity, in limited schedules and complementing it with solar energy in each of our rooms.

COMMITMENTTO THE ICE

We comply with the Progressive Reduction Regulations and the specific Ban on Plastics in our Parque Nacional. As members of the Refill Not Landfill global campaign, we arrange water refill stations in the Estancia and promote the usage of reusable bottles.

RESEARCH CONTRIBUTION

Patagonia is home to a diverse and immense ecosystem. It is easy to run into condors, red foxes or pumas. The proximity to these animal species as well as to the continental ice attracts hundreds of geologists, glaciologists and tourism students, so we decided to support their research with lodging.

ECOLOGICAL DECISIONS
WE DECIDE TO CARE

  • Our time flows with natural light and we always prefer low-consumption LEDs.
  • We planted solar panels as an energy supplement.
  • We opt for sorting and recycling our waste.
  • Our suppliers use durable and reusable packaging.
  • We favor the use of biodegradable elements.
  • We provide individual glass bottles for guests.
  • Water refill stations are available at the Estancia.
  • We support environmental research and studies.
