The climate in this part of the lovely southern tip of the planet is intense, unpredictable and dry.
It is best in Patagonia to dress in layers to be well-equipped to deal with sudden temperature changes and be able to acclimatize as necessary. We suggest wearing comfortable clothing, as well as a fleece jacket and a windbreaker, ideally waterproof. Wear or bring sunglasses, sunblock for skin and lips, gloves, a hat, and a scarf. Whether you wear hiking shoes or boots, soles with a strong grip are essential.
The Estancia has a DA Defibrillator, the staff is trained in CPR, and we always have an emergency first aid kit on hand.
Visits run daily from October 1st to April 30th – even on special dates such as Christmas and New Year’s Eve. From May 1st to September 30th, Estancia Cristina is closed.
